PURPOSE: To obtain a resin compsn. having excellent light resistance, flame retardance, moldability, and impact resistance and an improved stability by compounding polycarbonate resin, a rubber-reinforced polymer, a specific halogen compd., and a metal carboxylate.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. compsn. comprising 1-99 pts.wt. polycarbonate resin produced by reacting a dihydric phenol with phosgene or a carbonic diester and 99-1 pt.wt. rubber reinforced polymer comprising a copolymer formed from a vinyl polymer and a rubber selected from among rubbers having a glass transition temperature of 0°C or lower (e.g. a butadiene rubber, an acrylic rubber, and an ethylene-propylene rubber) or comprising a blend of such copolymers with 3-40 pts.wt. epoxy- terminated halogen compd. represented by the formula (wherein X is Br or Cl; a, b, c, and d are each 1-4; and n is 0 or a natural number) and 0.01-2 pts.wt. alkali or alkaline earth metal carboxylate.
