Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light shielding cartridge for a photosensitive material which has pieces of cloth for light shielding, which has excellent light shielding performance in the infrared region and which lowers the drawing resistance of a photographic film.
SOLUTION: The light shielding cartridge has a mouth from which a photosensitive material is drawn, the mouth is made lightproof by pieces of cloth for light shielding and the cloth comprises a ground fabric structure and a pile part. This pile part has an originally blackened fiber pile part obtained by embedding originally blackened fibers containing carbon black and a black dyed fiber pile part obtained by embedding black dyed fibers dyed black with a dye, the proportion of the originally blackened fiber pile part is 5 to 60 wt.% of the whole pile part, and the originally blackened fibers have a larger single fiber size than that of the black dyed fibers. The total pile density of the originally blackened fibers and the black dyed fibers is 30,000 to 55,000/cm2 and both pile parts are disposed in parallel stripes at nearly right angles to the drawing direction of the photosensitive material.
