This light shielding cover closing cover closing mechanism 25 is constituted of an engaging member 50 engaged with the shaft end 45 of a light shielding cover 24, a light shielding cover driving member 51 constituted so that the shaft part 50a of the member 50 is fixed in the hole 51b of the shaft part 51a of the member 51, and turning the cover 24 from an opening position to a closing position, and a spring 52 energizing the member 51 toward the closing position. A pair of projections is formed at the positions of the cover 24 opposed to both edge parts out of the photographic image plane of the photographic film 13. In the midst of photographing while the film 13 is projected to the outside of a cartridge main body 12 from a film feeding port 42, a pair of projections of the cover 24 abuts on both edge parts of the film 13 and the cover 24 gets in an opened state. When all the film 13 is wound inside the main body 12 after finishing photographing, the cover 24 is turned to the closing position by the energizing force of the spring 52 and the port 42 is closed to be in a lighttight state.
