Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a light source for calibration of a radiation detector which can control a pulse crest value to be of a prescribed voltage.
CONSTITUTION: A light source for calibration of a radiation detector has a structure wherein an α-ray source 2 and a scintillator 1 made to emit light by an α-ray are sealed hermetically in a vessel 5. The vessel 5 is equipped with a filter 4 for regulating transmittance and this filter 4 can attenuate the intensity of convergence of the light emitted by the scintillator 1 and control a pulse crest value to be of a desired voltage.
