Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source detector, a headlight control system, and a light source detection method capable of more accurately tracking a light source.SOLUTION: A light source detector 20 comprises: an image acquisition unit 21 acquiring an image obtained by imaging by an imaging device 10 imaging a vehicle front portion; an extraction unit 22 extracting light source candidates that are candidates of a light source from the image; an estimation unit 24 calculating a moving history of the light source on the basis of a feature quantity of the light source in one frame or a plurality of frames of previous images acquired by the image acquisition unit 21, and estimating a position of the light source in a current frame of the image on the basis of the moving history; and a search unit 26 searching the light source within a window in a predetermined region including the position estimated by the estimation unit 24.
