Abstract:
To provide a light source device that enables implementation of a colar-capable backlight using laser lights and accommodating to precise local dimming with less color unevenness, and a display device comprising the light source device.SOLUTION: A backlight 2 serving as a light source device comprises light guides consisting of a plurality of optical fibers that guide laser lights having respective main wavelengths corresponding to R, G and B and that leak the lights from their bent parts. Among the plurality of optical fibers, a curvature radius of a bent part of an optical fiber that guides a light having a relatively short wavelength is smaller than a curvature radius of a bent part of an optical fiber that guides a light having a relatively long wavelength.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
