Abstract:
To provide a method for driving a light source device capable of erasing an after-image.
In the method for driving the light source device, a light emitting area is divided into a plurality of light emitting areas and a driving means successively drives and emits the plurality of light emitting areas in accordance with the scanning timing of a liquid crystal display apparatus. Consequently after-images can be erased while matching with the scanning timing of the liquid crystal display apparatus and power consumption can be reduced without reducing the light emitting strength and efficiency of the light source.
