Abstract:
To provide a light source device for an endoscope being safe for a user and a subject such as a patient.
A lamp 2 supplies light. A condenser lens 3 condenses the light supplied from the lamp 2. A filter turret 4 is disposed between the lamp 2 and the condenser lens 3. The filter turret 4 retains a filter capable of changing the characteristics of the light supplied from the lamp 2 and detachably attached thereto. If the filter turret 4 retains no filter for changing the characteristics of the light, a light shielding plate 5 is retained in a position where the filter is mounted and transmits a part of the light from the lamp 2.
