Abstract:
To provide a small light source device capable of efficiently cooling a wavelength conversion element.SOLUTION: A light source device 100 comprises a light source 1, a wavelength conversion element 4 that converts first light emitted from the light source into second light having a different wavelength, and a cooler 6 that cools the wavelength conversion element. The cooler has an opening part 8 at a position corresponding to an irradiation position of the first light in the wavelength conversion element. The opening part has a shape in which dimensions in two directions differ from each other depending on different widths in the two different directions in the cross section of the first light made incident on the opening part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
