Abstract:
To provide a light source device for printing capable of suppressing printing deviation even when an LED is adopted as a light source for curing photo-curing ink.SOLUTION: A light source device for a printer includes: an LED light source irradiating, with light, a medium as an object to be printed that is conveyed in the state that photo-curing ink is applied; a detection part detecting which of forward or backward direction the medium conveying direction is; and a control unit controlling light emission intensity of the LED light source. The control unit decreases light emission intensity when the medium conveying direction is a backward direction more than when the medium conveying direction is a forward direction or turns off the light on the basis of the detection signal transmitted by the detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
