To provide a light source device which can be reduced in thickness and can efficiently supply light to a surface to be irradiated and to provide a projector.
The light source device includes: a light emitting part 12 which is arranged on a center axis AX and emits light; a reflector 13 being a first reflecting part which is provided around the center axis AX and reflects the light emitted from the light emitting part 12 toward the surface to be irradiated; a secondary mirror 14 being a second reflecting part which faces the first reflecting part across the light emitting part 12 and is provided centering on the center axis AX; and a cone mirror 15 being a third reflecting part which is provided centering on the center axis AX, on the side of the surface to be irradiated with respect to the second reflecting part. The third reflecting part has such a shape that it is gradually thinner as it goes to the side of the surface to be irradiated on the center axis AX.
