To provide a light source device in which a force by a user can be transferred sufficiently to a connector and it is easy to be removed.

The light source device 41 includes a light source device body 41A to emit light and a lamp housing 414 to store the light source device body 41A. The light source device body 41A includes the connector 415 in order to be electrically connected to a ballast unit to drive the light source device 41. The lamp housing 414 includes a connector holding means 55 for holding the connector 415, and a handle 56 in order to grip the light source device 41. The handle 56 is connected to the connector holding means 55. According to such a constitution, the force by the user can be transferred sufficiently to the connector 415, and the connector 415 can be pulled out easily. Accordingly, the light source device 41 can be removed easily.
