Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device and a projector that reduce a load of a rotation device by reducing the weight of an optical element including a plurality of fins, and that can efficiently cool the optical element.SOLUTION: An illumination device comprises a light source, a wavelength conversion element 52 to which light emitted from the light source is made incident, a rotation device 54 which rotates the wavelength conversion element, and a heat radiation member 7 which is provided on the wavelength conversion element and rotating with the wavelength conversion element. The heat radiation member includes a plurality of fins 72, each of which has an erection part 721 which erects in a direction away from an optical element and a fixation part 722 which fixes the erection part to the optical element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
