PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of improving utilization efficiency of light, and a projector.SOLUTION: A light source device comprises: a light emission part including a solid light source; a light separation element separating first light and second light included in light incident from the light emission part; a first incident part receiving the first light separated by the light separation element; a second incident part receiving the second light separated by the light separation element; a first light condensation element arranged on an optical path of the first light between the light separation element and the first incident part, and condensing the first light to be received to be made incident into the first incident part; a second light condensation element arranged on an optical path of the second light between the light separation element and the second incident part, and condensing the second light to be received to be made incident into the second incident part; and a condenser lens arranged, on the optical path of the first light having a long optical path length of the optical path of the first light and the optical path of the second light, closer to the light separation element than the first light condensation element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
