Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device that has superior uniaxial directivity.SOLUTION: A light source device 1 includes a light source part 2 which emits light having different directivity in two mutually orthogonal axial directions and an anisotropic scattering sheet 3 (anisotropic scattering part) which has different mutually different scattering properties in two mutually orthogonal axial directions, and emits light made incident from a light source part as scattered light, the axial direction in which the light emitted from the light source part 2 has low directivity being substantially aligned with the axial direction in which the anisotropic scattering sheet 3 has high scattering properties.
