Title:
LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001036153
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To efficiently dissipate heat into a liquid and further dissipate the heat to the outside in a light source device, in which light-emitting elements are immersed in liquid, while keeping insulating property of the lighting device.

In a lamp module in which light-emitting elements 1 are immersed in an insulating, inactive and translucent liquid 4, fins 8 are provided on a part of the container that is in tough with the liquid 4. For example, when translucent parts of the container are partitioned by a metal frame, fins 7 are provided on the metal frame. Also, the metal frame may be extended to contact the container of the lighting device. Furthermore, when a metal-base substrate is used for the substrate on which the light-emitting elements 1 are mounted, fins 8 are provided on the metal-based substrate. Also, a metallic member that is immersed in the liquid is provided separately and is pulled to the outside to be joined with the container of the lighting device.
