Abstract:
To provide a light source device capable of emitting visible light having sufficiently high intensity as compared with that of visible light emitted from a short arc lamp.
A reflector 10 for reflecting light emitted from the short arc lamp 1 to emit it from an emission opening 11 is formed with: a reflector body 12 formed of fluorescent glass for transmitting visible light within incident light and for converting an ultraviolet-ray into fluorescence to emit it; and a reflecting film 13 formed on the outside surface of the body 12; and an ultraviolet-ray reflecting film 16 is disposed in front of the emission opening 11 of the reflector 10.
