To provide a light source device, wherein xenon lamps different in length in a light axis direction and/or in size perpendicular to the light axis in the same device can be used.
The light source device includes: reflectors 3 and 4; a first lamp support 5 which supports one mouthpiece 24 of a xenon lamp 2; a second lamp support 6 which supports another mouthpiece 25 of the xenon lamp 2; and a support plate 7 which supports the reflectors 3 and 4, and the first and second lamp supports 5 and 6. The first lamp support 5 has a lamp support unit 51, and a support stand 52 that is supported on the support plate 7 to support the lamp support unit 51. The lamp support unit 51 has a position shifting means that can change its position to two positions in the light axis direction.
