Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which uses an organic up-conversion material.SOLUTION: Since a light source device 1 is constituted by sealing an organic up-conversion material 2 in a plate glass 3, visible light can be obtained by up-converting infrared light by radiating the infrared light to an organic up-conversion material layer via the plate glass. The light source device is used in, for example, a window glass and a showcase. As a result, light permeating the light source device becomes light which is obtained by mixing original solar visible light and the visible light emitted by the up-conversion, and when the light source device is used in the window glass, luminance higher than incident solar light can be obtained.
