To provide a light source capable of adjusting excellently the optical axis of a light-emitting element and also securing heat radiation.
The light source comprises LEDs 16 ( red LED 16A, green LED 16B, blue LED 16C), a light-emitting element installation member 23 to install the above LED, and a heat radiation member 24 to radiate the heat from the LED, and irradiates the light emitted from the LED. The light source has a heat conduction sheet 25 which is interposed between the light-emitting element installation member and the heat radiation member and is constructed of a material capable of elastic deformation and with good heat conduction and a plurality of optical axis adjusting screws 26 which joint the light-emitting element installation member, the heat conduction sheet, and the heat radiation member. According to leading of the screws by rotating the optical axis adjusting screws 26, the heat conduction sheet 25 is elastically deformed and the LED 16 is displaced against the heat radiation member 24, thereby adjusting the optical axis P of the light emitted by the LED.
