Abstract:
To provide a light source unit which easily secures predetermined luminance, and to provide a display device including the light source unit.SOLUTION: A light source unit 1 includes: a light emitting diode 2; a substrate 3 on which the light emitting diode 2 is mounted; a rod-like light guide member 4; a case 5 which houses the light guide member 4; and a holding member 6 which is attached to the case 5 and sandwiches the substrate 3 with the case 5 to hold the substrate 3. The light guide member 4 includes: an incidence surface 40 into which light emitted from the light emitting diode 2 enters; and an emission surface 41 from which the light emitted into the incidence surface 40 is emitted. The substrate 3 includes a portion 30 covered by the case 5 and the holding member 6. An electronic component 7 which adjusts electric power to be supplied to the light emitting diode 2 is mounted on the portion 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
