The light source unit 4 comprises: the elliptical reflection mirror 6 housed in a case 2; a light source lamp 7 arranged on a first focal point position F1 of the elliptical reflection mirror 6; a light-transmitting hole 12 arranged on a second focal point position F2; and the round reflection mirror 8 facing the elliptical reflection mirror 6. An edge 6a of the elliptical reflection mirror 6 and an edge 8b of the round reflection mirror 8 are arranged by separating at a designated distance d. The light C emitted forward from the light source lamp 7 is converged to the light source lamp 7 by the round reflection mirror 8, and is irradiated forward by reflecting with the elliptical reflection mirror 6 as well as the light emitted backward from the light source lamp 7. Heat radiated from the light source lamp 7 is radiated outside since replacement of air is carried out by separating the elliptical reflection mirror 6 and the round reflection mirror 8, and therefore, temperature rise of the light source unit 4 is not caused.
