Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly reduce the operational load on a controller and to assure that an airport is operating safely.
SOLUTION: This light supervisory control device controls a stop-line light, installed near the taxiway exit of an airport runway to turn the light on and off. The control device includes a receiving means 32 for receiving radio information about the passage of aircraft through markers 26 to 28 set by a plurality of antennas 23 to 25 installed along an ideal aircraft navigation route 22, and a stop-line light process control part 36 connected to the receiving means via a cable transmission line. The stop-line light process control part controls the stop-line light to turn on, according to the controller's operation direction information or marker passage confirmation information sent from the receiving means. After the stop-line light has been controlled to turn on, when the passage of the aircraft through the marker 28 nearest the runway 11 is received from the output of the receiving means and directions to confirm the landing of the aircraft are received, the stop-line light is controlled to be turned off.
