To provide a light wave radar device capable of performing measurement from a short distance in a state that a beat signal between inner reflection light and local area oscillation light is suppressed so that a receiver is not saturated.
This light wave radar includes a reference laser light source (1) that continuously generates laser light, a light switch (2) that outputs a part of the laser light from the reference laser light source as local oscillation light and the other part thereof as transmission light to two optical paths, a telescope (5) that transmits the transmission light propagating in one of the optical paths to atmospheric air and receives diffused light in the atmospheric air, a light circulator (4) that switches the optical paths of the transmission light and reception light, a light multiplexer (6) that outputs wave synthesized light by synthesizing the transmission light with the local oscillation light, a light wave detector (7) that detects the wave synthesized light to generate a beat signal, and a signal processing device (8) that detects a velocity or the direction of wind by frequency-converting the beat signal. The light wave radar further comprises a time delay means (12) that delays the local oscillation light propagating in the other optical path.
