Abstract:
To enhance light extraction efficiency of a light wavelength conversion member formed by encapsulating phosphor into a transparent material.
In the light wavelength conversion member 16, a translucent member 30 includes a yellow phosphor 32 and a blue phosphor 34. The yellow phosphor 32 emits yellow light excited by near ultraviolet light and short wavelength visible light having a wavelength of 350 nm or more and 480 nm or less. The blue phosphor 34 emits blue light excited by near ultraviolet light and short wavelength visible light having a wavelength of 350 nm or more and 480 nm or less. Differences of refractive indices of the yellow phosphor 32 and blue phosphor 34 against the translucent member 30 are 0.2 or less.
