Abstract:
To provide a lightweight golf ball having an excellent hitting feel and the excellent capability of flying achieved by optimization of the trajectory.
The golf ball consists of a core and a cover covering the core, and a large number of dimples are formed on the surface of the cover. The cover is made of a composition whose base material is a thermoplastic resin, and the specific gravity of the golf ball is at least 0.50 and less than 1.00. When the specific gravity of the golf ball is M, the total volume of the dimples being V (mm3) and the total number of the dimples being N, the product of M, V and N is between 130,000 and 160,000.
