Abstract:
This light source unit is provided with: an LED substrate to which a plurality of LEDs are mounted; an attachment member to which the LED substrate is attached; and a power source device that supplies lighting electrical power to the plurality of LEDs. The attachment member is formed from: a bottom surface section that is formed in an elongated, rectangular plate shape and to one surface of which the LED substrate is attached; and a first lateral surface section and second lateral surface section that protrude in a direction intersecting the bottom surface section and at the reverse side from the LED substrate with respect to the bottom surface section from both sides in the widthwise direction of the bottom surface section. The power source device has: a power source substrate to which a circuit component is mounted for generating at least lighting electrical power; and a housing case for housing the power source substrate. The housing case is disposed at the first lateral surface section side and at least a portion is disposed in a space encircled by the bottom surface section, the first lateral surface section, and the second lateral surface section.
