To provide a lighting apparatus, which can output a light of all colors at sufficient intensity, by making use of semiconductor light source characteristics.
A hybrid lighting apparatus 10 comprises a first light source 20, having LED elements 21R of red color and LED elements 21B of blue color, and a second light source 30 outputting a light beam 71G of green color from an arc light source 31. The hybrid lighting apparatus 10 is a hybrid type combining the LED elements 21R, 21B with the arc light source 31, capable of outputting the light beam of color which the LED elements cannot output sufficient intensity, and for which the LED elements has low relative luminosity, so that the hybrid lighting apparatus 10 makes use of the semiconductor light source characteristics and can output the light of all colors at sufficient intensity. Furthermore, the hybrid lighting apparatus 10 has much advantage of the hybrid type, such that the life time of the arc light source 31 is extended, because the load of the arc light source 31 is ristricted.
