Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent temperature rise inside a lighting apparatus even if the temperature rises abnormally inside a luminaire due to wire cut of a fan motor without using a special apparatus by connecting a luminaire load to the fan motor in parallel through a TRIAC.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of positive half cycles AC electric power Vac, when fan motor current IF1 runs in a gate G, a positive electrode T2, and a terminal (b) of a TRIAC Q1 through a fan motor F1 from a terminal (a) and fan F1 starts driving, positive electrodes T1 and T2 of the TRIAC Q1 are mutually communicated electrically and lamp current Ila1 runs in a candescent lamp La1 through the TRIAC Q1 from the electric power source Vac. At the time of negative half cycles, current Ila1 runs a candescent lamp La1 in the same way. By repeating these cycles, only when the fan F1 is driven, the candescent lamp La1 is lighted and the wind generated by the rotating fan by the driving of the fan F1 is directly fed to the candescent lamp La1, so that the lamp La1 is cooled and heat generation is prevented. Meanwhile, when wire cut of the fan F1 takes place, the gate current of the TRIAC Q1 is shut and the TRIAC is turned in OFF-state and the candescent lamp La1 is extinguished and no heat is generated.
