To enable an intruding burglar or the like to precisely believe that a person is in a house while suppressing useless cost by turning on the indoor lighting fixtures with an effective and simple constitution in a lighting control system.
The lighting control system 1 comprises: indoor lighting devices 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D; and a mode switch indication part 3 connected to these devices by a communication means to switch on/off pattern mode. The lighting devices 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, each has a lighting fixture 4 having a lighting load 5 and a lighting circuit 6, a control part 7 for turning on and controlling the lighting fixture 4, a communication part 8 for communicating with the mode switch indication part 3, and an illuminance detection means. By a detected value of the illuminance detection means, the control part 7 automatically recognizes whether or not the lighting devices are located on a window side. The mode switch indication part 3 switches the lighting fixtures 4 to a security mode in which they are made to be turned on according to a predetermined pattern, and in this mode, at least the lighting fixtures 4 of the lighting devices 2A, 2B on the window side are made to be turned on.
