Abstract:
To provide a lighting device and a display apparatus which can reduce the size and improve the light use efficiency while reducing the occurrence of an interference pattern.
A lighting device includes: a light source unit including a laser source; an optical element disposed on an optical path on which a laser beam from the laser source travels; an optical member for emitting illumination light; and a drive unit which displaces a relative position between the optical element and the optical member, and thereby changing at least one of the incident position and incident angle of a laser beam in an incidence plane of the optical member.
