To provide a lighting device and an illumination system using the same capable of easily and correctly adjusting unevenness of average current among lighting devices with respect to the identical modulate signal.
A controlling section 2 connects a resistor R2 having an arbitrary resistance value to a lighting part 1 in place of a light source part 3 and compares a detection value, which is a voltage drop due to the resistor R2 detected by voltage detection/calculation section 22b as an output voltage when an arbitrary modulate signal in a light control range is given, and a voltage drop estimated based on a PWM signal of a preset duty ratio corresponding to the arbitrary modulate signal. The controlling section 2 adjust the duty ratio of the PWM signal so that the difference therebetween falls within the predetermined range and controls the storage 22c to store the duty ratio of the adjusted PWM signal.
