To provide a lighting device and a lamp fitting in which the decrease of heat dissipation is prevented in the lighting device, and the number of manufacturing processes can be reduced.
In the lighting device 20, a housing 21 accommodating inside an electronic circuit which supplies electric power to a light source, and a coating layer 22 arranged on an outer surface of the housing 21 using a material with a higher thermal radiant rate than that forming the housing 21 are formed, and as well as an information display area 23 is formed by arranging a material with a different color and with a higher thermal radiant rate than other areas, in a pattern used for information transmission. This arrangement prevents drop of a thermal radiant rate on the housing 21, even when the information display area 23 to be used for the information transmission is arranged on the housing 21. Furthermore, the number of manufacturing processes is reduced as compared with the case where both of them are arranged separately.
