Abstract:
To provide a luminaire which can be used in combination with a dimmer of reverse phase control system, and loss of safety is restrained even when connected with a dimmer of positive phase control system.SOLUTION: A luminaire 10 receiving supply of AC power subjected to phase control by a dimmer 6 includes a light source 15, and a lighting circuit 20 for supplying a current to a light source 15. The lighting circuit 20 has a rectifier circuit 21 for converting AC power into DC power, a current supply circuit 26 for receiving DC power supplied from the rectifier circuit 21 and supplying a current to the light source 15, a detection circuit 24 for detecting whether the AC power inputted to the lighting circuit 20 is subjected to positive phase control or reverse phase control, and a control circuit 25 for controlling current supply from the current supply circuit 26 to the light source 15, or controlling suppression for an in-rush current from the rectifier circuit 21 to the current supply circuit 26, depending on the detection results from the detection circuit 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
