To provide a lighting device and a lighting system capable of forming a space produced by light.SOLUTION: A lighting device 3 for irradiating an object (a user in the present embodiment) with light includes: a first light source 11 for irradiating light; an imaging unit 110 for detecting a state related to the object including the number of objects and an existence area where the object exists to output detection information indicating a detected detection result; and a control unit 70 for controlling a form of a first contour of the light that the first light source 11 irradiates on an irradiation surface according to the detection information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
