The life determining part 132 compares the working time measured by the working time measuring part 131 with a predetermined life time and determines the end of the life when the working time is longer than the life time. The life informing part 133 informs another lighting device 102 of life determination when the life determining part 132 determines the end of the life. The life information determining part 141 determines whether another lighting device 102 informs it of the life determination or not. The life announcing part 170 announces the end of the life to users when the life information determining part 141 determines that another lighting device 102 does not inform it of the life determination and the life determining part 132 determines the end of the life.
