Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device and a socket for further improving safety, since damages due to overheating are prevented when a type of the light bulb is erroneously attached.SOLUTION: Provided is a lighting device in which an illumination light source is detachably provided in a lighting device body. The lighting device main body comprises a socket for detachably holding the illumination light source, an output terminal section provided in the socket and configured to electrically connect power from an external power supply to the illumination light source, and a plurality of overcurrent protection elements connected in cascade to a high potential side or a low potential side in a circuit configuration from the external power supply to the output terminal section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
