To use one device for different lighting functions and enable efficient use of lighting.
A lighting device 40 of a vehicle door includes a door body 24 for openably closing a door opening 17 of a vehicle body 11, an interior member 26 provided on the inside 12 of the door body 24, a light emitter 42 provided inside the interior member 26, and a light guide 43 with one end 43a thereof facing the light emitter 42 to guide the light from the light emitter 42, and illuminates the inside 12 of the vehicle from a notched groove (gap) 47 in the interior member 26. Furthermore, the other end 43b of the light guide 43 is oriented toward a lower part of the interior member 26 to illuminate the periphery of the door opening 17 or a road surface from a translucent hole 45 provided in the lower part of the interior member 26.
