PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle lighting device to prevent the glare of a fluorescent lamp by forming a covering part to cover most of the fluorescent lamp on a cover to cover an opening part on the lighting side of a main body case attached to the wall face of a vehicle, and providing the circumference of the covering part with a lighting window part to pass the light of the fluorescent lamp.

CONSTITUTION: A globe 14 is attached to the lower peripheral edge of a frame 2, and a covering part 14 to cover the whole of a downward part is formed on the lower face of the globe positioned under a fluorescent lamp 7 so that the lamp 7 may not be directly seen from the lower part. An attaching hole 21 being U-shaped in the front is transparently provided on the circumference except a nearby part on the right side of the covering part 14, and a lighting lens 15 serving as a lighting window part, which is formed of semitransparent synthetic resin into an about channel-shape, is fixedly attached so as to be flush with the lower face of the globe 14. Thus, since the lighting lens 15 is not positioned under the fluorescent lamp 7, illuminating light indirectly illuminates an outside through the lighting lens 15, and becomes unglaring.
