To provide a lighting device capable of relatively changing the maximum separation distance between a light source and a focus lens to be longer, and the minimum separation distance between the same to be shorter, and further, capable of carrying out tilting operation, even while being separated from the hand of an operator.

The lighting device 1 is provided with a front case 4, a rear case 8, a center case 9, a front coupling mechanism 10 coupling the front case 4 with the center case 9 in relatively free movement in an X-direction, a rear coupling mechanism 11 coupling the rear case 8 with the center case 9 in relatively free movement in an X-direction, a lateral U-shaped support frame 56 supporting the center case 9, and a tilting mechanism 90 coupling the center case 9 with the support frame 56 for tilting the center case 9 around the support frame 56. The tilting mechanism 90 includes an operating arm 91, and a transmission mechanism 93 transmitting rotation of the operating arm 91 against the support frame 56 to the center case 9 in engagement with the operating arm 91.
