PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire in which intuitive connection between an operation and a device is improved.SOLUTION: A luminaire 1 comprising a belt-like light emission area 110 extending in a longitudinal state, comprises: plural electrode parts 120 arranged in a longitudinal direction along a contour of the light emission area 110, each of which detects an operation by contact or approach of an operator; and a control unit 130 for, according to a detection result on the plural electrode parts 120, controlling light emission of the light emission area 110. The control unit 130 performs a light emission control for changing emission light of the light emission area 110, according to a detection order when an operation is detected continuously to an arrangement direction, on arbitrary two or more electrode parts 120 which are continuously arranged, out of the plural electrode parts 120, during lighting of the light emission area 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
