PURPOSE: To change light distribution continuously for producing more comfortable life space by combining lamps of different light distribution, and separately flashing and dimming each lamp by a control means included in a controller.

CONSTITUTION: A lighting system is provided with a bulb color straight tube fluorescent lamp 1, a narrow angle spot lamp 2, and a controller 3 capable of flashing and dimming these lamps separately. Brightness of the bulb color straight tube fluorescent lamp 1 and the narrow angle spot lamp 2 is interlocked with calendar information set based on temperature, humidity, and calendar information to be changed. Warm lighting having the feeling of a center is provided in winter, while cool lighting having the feeling of a wide space is provided in summer, thereby a comfortable lighting space in accordance with human mental conditions can thus be produced.
