To provide lighting equipment and an illumination light by which, an excellent indirect lighting is obtainable, by making diffused illumination light or a light source not directly observable, capable of integrating the illumina tion with a building, having excellent general-purpose properties and productiv ity, capable of realizing an efficient execution of work at low cost.

The lighting device has a base body with a reflection surface to which, LED lamps are integrally mounted, and an irradiation light of the LED's is reflected by the reflection surface. Corresponding with the directivity of the LED lamps, the LED lamps are arranged so that the reflection surface locates approximately at the area of the irradiation angle of the LED lamps where the relative luminosity exceeds 50% against the 100% of the relative luminosity at irradiation angle of zero degree, by the above, the relative luminosity of the irradiation light directly irradiated from the LED lamps is made 50% or less. It is recommendable to joint a plurality of above lighting devices around a pole and use them as an illumination lamp.
