Abstract:
To provide an illumination device for a vehicle which can perform irradiation in a wide range, and has a high mounting degree of freedom.SOLUTION: In this illumination device, an opening 56d, which is opened toward an irradiated part 44, is formed in a transparent material insertion part 56b of a holding member 56 which holds a light source 54 and the transparent material 52, and a light riser part 52e, which raises a part of light incident from the light source 54 toward the opening 56d, is formed on a portion of the transparent material 52 which is inserted in the transparent material insertion part 56b. The irradiated part 44 is irradiated with first outgoing light outgoing from a portion 52b which is not inserted in the transparent material insertion part 56b, and second outgoing light outgoing from the portion which is inserted in the transparent material insertion part 56b through the opening 56d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
