Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enchance the appearance of lighting fittings and make it easy to control diffusion angles of respective reflecting surfaces as the need arises, in the case where a reflecting mirror is employed wherein a plurality of reflecting surface elements are formed on a free-form curved surface.
SOLUTION: Reflecting surface elements 14s to be formed on a free-form curved surface are allocated respectively to a plurality of segments S(R) which are compartments made in a grid-like manner. The reflecting surface elements 14s are structured each to have one of a plurality of paraboloids of revolution which have a fixed point F on an optical axis Ax of a reflecting mirror 14 as their common focus, have the optical axis Ax as their center axis, and each have a different focal distance. Each of the focal distances of these paraboloids of revolution is set at a greater value for the reflecting surface element 14s of a segments S(R) as it is placed farther from the optical axis Ax. The reflecting mirror 14 is thereby maintained to be of a thin type while its decorative design is harmonized with a decorative design of a lens 16 having diffusion lens steps 16s which are compartments made in a grid-like manner and, along with this, when the reflecting surface elements 14s are adapted to have a diffusion function, it is made possible to set their diffusion angles with good accuracy.
