The lighting fixture of this invention has a constitution that a lighting circuit 4 and a lamp holder 5 are arranged on the round fixture main body 3 and that the small-sized and round fluorescent lamp 2 is mounted on the lamp holder 5. The outer diameter of the fixture main body 3 has a little larger size than that of the fluorescent lamp 2, and the lighting circuit 4 is made to have a shape including the case to be housed within the outer diameter of the fluorescent lamp 2. By using the small-sized and round fluorescent lamp like this, the thin and compact lighting fixture to replace a conventional incandescent bulb can be obtained. Further, as the small-sized and round fluorescent lamp, for example, an FHC 13 can be used.
