Abstract:
To provide a luminaire sufficiently utilizing the performance of a coherent light source to brightly illuminate an illuminated area with a desired light distribution pattern.SOLUTION: A luminaire 10 comprises: a light diffusion element 50 including a plurality of element diffusion elements 55 diffusing incident light; a coherent light source 15 emitting coherent light; a shaping optical system 20 shaping the coherent light ; a scanner 30 regulating a travelling direction of the coherent light and scanning the coherent light over the light diffusion element; and a condensing optical system 40 provided on an optical path of the coherent light from the shaping optical system to the light diffusion element. The condensing optical system condenses the coherent light so that a spot region S on the light diffusion element is smaller than the element diffusion element. Each element diffusion element illuminates an element illuminated area Zp corresponding to the element diffusion element by diffusing the incident coherent light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
