Title:
LIGHTING SYSTEM AND OPTICAL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013092788
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a lighting system and an optical device that are capable of equally illuminating an illuminated area (image formation area) without making a speckle noise outstanding.

A lighting system relating to the invention comprises: a light source 11 for emitting coherent light; an optical scanning part 15 for scanning the coherent light emitted from the light source 11; a lens array 22 that includes multiple element lenses and allows the light scanned by the optical scanning part to diverge; and an optical path conversion system 23 that is set to restrict a divergent angle of the diverging light emitted from each point of the lens array 22 and for the diverging light with the restricted divergent angle to sequentially illuminate an illuminated area in an overlapping manner. On an incident or emission side of the lens array 22, a polarization control element or an optical element for providing an optical path length difference is provided to prevent passing luminous fluxes from interfering with each other between adjacent element lenses.
