To easily realize illumination with uniform brightness, desirable luminous intensity distribution characteristics, and desirable color tone in a lighting system conducting illumination by guiding light emitted from a light source with a light guide rod.
The lighting system is constituted with a light source part 21 for emitting light for illumination and a light guide rod 22 for introducing light emitted from the light source part 21 from one end and guiding it to the other end, and a diffusion reflecting film 220 which reflects guided light in a diffusion state and puts out from the other part on the peripheral surface of the light guide rod 22 is installed in a part of the peripheral surface of the light guide 22. The diffusion reflecting film 220 is formed with a coating film coated with color paint, and diffuses and reflects the guided light in a special spectral characteristic based on paint color. By forming the diffusion reflecting film 220 with different color paint coating, illumination in different color tone is made possible, and illumination in optimum color tone according to the kind of goods displayed in a show window is made possible. By changing width dimension of the diffusion reflecting film 220, illumination in an optional illumination range is made possible.
