To enhance added values by aiming at effective use of generated heat in a lighting system using a semiconductor light-emitting element.
The lighting system includes a light-emitting device 20 having a light source 21 using three-color LEDs 22 (semiconductor light-emitting elements) and a semiconductor integrated circuit element 28 (a heating part) emitting heat with emission of the light source 21, an aroma device 30 having a saucer 31 (a liquid agent retaining part) capable of retaining an aromatic liquid agent 34 with volatility, and arranged so as the heat generated from the semiconductor integrated circuit element 28 to be transmitted to the aromatic liquid agent 34 stored in the saucer 31, and a lamp shade 40 having a housing space 41 for housing the light-emitting device 20 and the aroma device 30, and with a ventilation hole 43 (a ventilation part) with at least a part having translucency, communicated from inside the housing space 41 toward outside.
